私達は普段、死体を目にすることなく生きています。いえ、目にしないのではなく、死体というものを意識しなくて良いように作られた社会の中で生きていると言った方がいいかもしれません。私は建物のリノベーションを始めてから床の下や天井裏にあるミイラ化したネズミや猫の死骸をよく見かけるようになりました。目に見える場所に存在してしまった死体は目につかないように片付けられ、人の目につかないところに存在する死体だけがこうして土に還ることもなく残されていっています。私はこの死体達を人の目につく場所に置きたいと考えました。私達が暮らす日常の中で唯一死体の存在が許されている場所、お皿の上に。私達は毎日動物や植物の死体を食べて生きていますが、私達の目に死体は映りません。そこからは死体という概念が取り除かれてしまっているからです。食べられない死体をお皿に載せたとき、その魔法は消え去り、私達は改めて死体と向き合うことになるでしょう。
Usualy we doesn't see a dead body. So a general public conceal a dead body from our view. I often find mummificated mouse and cat at under the floor and over the ceiling when I renovating old buildings. Visible dead bodies are disposes quickly and invisible dead bdies are remain in a dead angle like those. I wanted to put them on visible place. And I find the place where for a dead bodies, what we call dishes. We eat a dead body of animals and plants everyday. But usualy we never sentient of a dead body. Because, the concept of a dead body have been excluded from dishes. When we find a dead body what unfit to eat on dishes, we have to face dead body again.
